Kolkata: Abhishek Banerjee, All India Trinamool Youth Congress president and the party’s MP and Anubrata Mondol, the party’s Birbhum district president, will look after the party in Nadia along with Partha Chatterjee, the party’s secretary general.The decision was taken by Trinamool supremo and Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in Nadia on Wednesday. She met all the MLAs, Zilla Parishad and Panchayat members in the district. In the administrative review meeting, Mamata Banerjee pulled up the chairman of Shantipur Municipality Ajay Dey and asked him to bury the hatchet with some local leaders. “You had been an MLA and now you’re the chairman of a municipality. You should work together with other leaders,” the Chief Minister said. Meanwhile, Partha Chatterjee told newsmen that because of his busy schedule, it is not possible for him to come to the district. “Abhishek Banerjee and Anubrata will look after the party in Nadia and I will assist them,” he said. It may be mentioned that in Cooch Behar, while addressing a gathering on Tuesday, Abhishek Banerjee had cautioned party workers against infighting.
